SB5000 - Symbolic Triggering, Analysis, and Trending


The Yokogawa SB5000 Serial Bus Analyzer has a symbolic triggering feature which allows you to load physical value definition files created by the user via a free Symbol Definition software package called Symbol Editor. You can enter trigger settings based on physical values (Message and Signal), and display analysis results as physical values (decoding). This greatly increases your efficiency when troubleshooting faults on a serial bus. Symbol Editor also allows you to convert a FIBEX Database file into a physical Message/Signal value file which can be easily and quickly loaded into the SB5000. The SB5000 can also be used as a general purpose DSO/MSO with it's 1GHz bandwidth and 8 or 32bit logic capabilities.

WT3000 - Cycle by Cycle Measurements


The Yokogawa WT3000 offers a Cycle by Cycle function (/CC) which provides the ability to measure parameters such as frequency, voltage, current, and active power for each individual cycle, then lists the data on the screen in a time series. Anywhere from 10 to 3000 consecutive cycles can be set with input frequencies ranging from 0.1Hz to 1000Hz. The data can then be saved in CSV format. This is an excellent way to monitor cycle-by-cycle fluctuations.

WT210 - Standby Power Measurements


The Yokogawa WT210 Power Analyzer meets and exceeds expectations when it comes to energy conservation testing for products such as desktop and notebook computers, workstations, integrated computers, desktop servers, copy and fax machines as well as other products. GS610 and GS820 SMU - Curve Tracer Software


Whether you work on discrete semiconductors such as transistors and diodes, analog IC's such as voltage regulators and op-amps, digital IC's, solar battery cells, LED's or other optical devices, at some point you probably had or have a need for a curve tracer.

Yokogawa offers a Curve Tracer package which is a high-speed, high-accuracy real time V-I curve tracer that consists of a GS Series Source Measure Unit (SMU) and the Curve Tracer Software. It's well-suited to do DC parametric tests of minute signals. The GS Series SMU's are multifunctional devices that can be used as a precision power supply, current & voltage source, current & voltage meter, pulse generator, arbitrary waveform generator, and electronic load. The GS Series offers modern interfaces such as USB and Ethernet, has a built in Web Server function, and also offers GPIB and RS-232.

DLM6000 - Power Supply Analysis Function


The Yokogawa DLM6000 has an optional power supply analysis function (/G4) which is a must have tool if your working on switch mode power supplies. This function will give you the ability to evaluate switching loss, analyze safe operating area (SOA), perform harmonic analysis to IEC61000-3-2, waveform computations, automated Watt hour [Wh] and Ampere hour [Ah] measurements among many other measurements such as V, A, S, P, Q, Z, and power factor to name a few. There is a full line of differential and current probes, as well as a deskew source available. Phase correction, degaussing, zero adjustment, and deskewing can all be easily done from the power analysis menu on the DLM6000.

DLM2000 - 4CH 8bit Flex MSO


The Yokogawa DLM2000 Series MSO has a new architecture which sets it aside from other MSO's. The DLM2000 is referred to as an 8bit Flex MSO. What this means is that the 4th CH can either be used as an analog input or as an 8bit logic input. When using the 4th CH as an analog input, the 8bit logic input can still be used as a trigger input, and when using the 8bit logic input, the 4th CH (analog input) can also be used as a trigger input.

* 8bit logic input is only available on 4CH models.

DLM6000 - MSO Sample Rate and Acquisition Memory


The Yokogawa DLM6000 is a 4CH Analog + 16/32bit Logic MSO. One major differentiator from other MSO's is that this unit provides equivalent sample rate and acquisition memory between the analog and logic input channels even when all 4 + 16/32CH's are being used. When logic channels are turned on, the high speed waveform update rate does not decline.

DL750(P) - Dual Capture Function


The Dual Capture function available on the Yokogawa DL750 and DL750P provides the capability to capture high speed events while continuously monitoring long term trends. This minimizes the amount of recorded data as it only shows high resolution in the areas you care about.
This is like using both a high speed oscilloscope and a recorder simultaneously but in a single instrument.
* Dual capture is not available on the SL1400.

WT1600 - 5A and 50A Input Elements

The Yokogawa WT1600 offers two separate input modules, 5A max and 50A max. It can be configured with any mix of 5A and 50A modules up to a maximum of 6 input elements. Each element consists of a voltage and current input (watt meter).


There are two major differences to be considered when configuring a WT1600. The most appealing spec is the maximum direct input current of 50A, however the following must be considered:

  • The bandwidth of the two modules is different. The 5A module offers 1MHz bandwidth, while the 50A offers 100kHz max.

  • The minimum current range is also different. The 5A offers a low 10mA range, while the lowest range on the 50A module is 1A.

PZ4000 - External Sensor Input Impedance

The external sensor input (BNC) on the back of Yokogawa power analyzer input modules are used for a voltage output type of CT. While most of these analyzers have a high enough impedance to support these types of clamps, the PZ4000 standard input modules have a 10k ohm external sensor input. If someone requires the use of voltage output type of CT with a PZ4000, pay close attention to what type of clamp you require or are already using.
A special version of both PZ4000 input modules is available which provides a 1M ohm impedance. The modules are identified with a /Z at the end of the input module part number. A few examples of clamps that would require the 1M ohm impedance would be:
  • 960-01
  • SR651
  • SR661
  • SR751
  • MR461
  • MR561
  • SL261

SL1000 - High Channel Count High Speed Data Acquisition

The Yokogawa SL1000 can support up to 128CH's of high speed measurements. This would require 8 SL1000 mainframes, 64 modules, 7 synchronic cables, and a PC. The synchronic cable is used to synchronize each mainframe together, assigning one SL1000 as the master, and the remaining seven as slaves.

Using multiple chassis, the mirror function (PC and HDD saving) is unavailable. The data is streamed to each mainframes HDD, then using the transfer utility in the SL1000 control software the data files are merged into one file and transferred to the PC.

Free Power Consumption Measurement Software


Yokogawa offers free Power Consumption Measurement Software which can be used with popular Yokogawa power analyzers such as the WT210, WT500, WT1600, and WT3000. This software conforms to IEC62301 and EuP Directive Lot6 testing methods.
Great for electrical appliance testing, especially standby power measurements. A test report can be generated on the results!

SL1400 ScopeCorder - An OR1400 replacement


The ever popular Yokogawa OR1400 oscillographic recorder is now a discontinued product. The Yokogawa SL1400 ScopeCorder LITE may be used as a replacement. The SL1400 offers a bigger display, control over what and when to print, as well as higher voltage isolation and more input modules to choose from. A typical question that has come up is "why is the OR1400 able to print faster than the SL1400"? - This is not entirely true....

The SL1400 can capture and store the data into acquisition memory before printing which allows the user to choose exactly what to print. This minimizes the amount of wasted paper which is better for the environment. Once the data is captured and saved into acquisition memory the re-print function can be used to print the data much faster than the OR1400 and provides the option to save the data electronically. While real-time printing is maxed out at 20mm/sec, the re-print function can print as fast as 50mm/sec and even 100mm/sec!

GS200 - 7651 GPIB Code Compatibility

The highly accurate Yokogawa GS200 DC voltage/current source has a 7651 GPIB command compatibility mode. Anyone who wrote GPIB code around the 7651 DC source can use a GS200 as a direct drop in replacement without modifying or writing new code.

MV Advanced - High Channel Count Expandability


The Yokogawa MV2000 paperless recorder has a channel expansion function (MC1) which allows the MV to act as a master device via Modbus. Up to 300CH's from external devices such as MW100's can be loaded into the MV. The MV can also setup data via communication input commands. This capability provides a total CH count of up to 348CH's all available on the screen of the MV2000.

* (MC1) is only available on the MV2010, MV2020, MV2030, MV2040, and MV2048.

WT500 VS WT230 - Differences

One important advantage the Yokogawa WT500 has over the WT230 is the ability to independently set the voltage and current ranges for each individual input element. Whatever voltage and current range you set on a WT230 will apply across all input elements.

XViewer - PC Software for DL, SL, and ScopeCorder Series Instruments


XViewer is a powerful PC software application that allows you to display acquired waveform data, perform file transfers from the DL, SL, and ScopeCorder series products, control instruments remotely, convert binary waveform data to CSV or Excel format, and generate a single page report with a snapshot of the data captured along with any pertinent information or comments relevant to your test that need t0 be archived or shared with someone else.
XViewer allows many of the same capabilities that can be found directly on the instrument such as zooming, cursor measurements, calculating waveform parameters, and waveform math equations (available in the math edition).
* Serial bus decoding is not available via XViewer.

MX100/MW100 - Low Speed Data Acquisition Systems

MX100 - PC-Based Real Time Acquisition System
MW100 - Web-Enabled Data Acquisition/Data Logging System
Maximum CH count on a single system is 60CH for both MX and MW100. The MX100 comes with the MX Standard software which supports a maximum of 60CH's. There is an optional software package called MX Logger which can be used to configure an MX100 with up to 20 units/60CH each for a total of 1200CH's. Being the MW100 has a built-in web browser, you may access multiple MW100's throughout a plant or facility, but each unit will separately show 60CH's of acquisition.
There is one optional software package that has the ability to integrate multiple MX/MW100's, WT series power analyzers (excluding WT3000), MV Advanced, PR300's, and web cameras which is DAQ Logger. DAQ Logger can record on up to 1600CH's and can connect up to 32 individual units. The only drawback is a limitation of 1S/s recording intervals.


SL1000 - Large Variety of Input Modules



The Yokogawa SL1000 is a 16CH high speed acquisition system that supports a total of 12 different available input modules most of which are isolated and offer high resolution. The newest module is capable of sampling at up to 100MS/s at 12bit resolution and provides up to 1000V of isolation. Various types of modules are available including:
